[Poem] Cryptic Coin

--

We often ponder
the meaning of life,
of existence, our
soul, and the like.
A coin flip away
is the other side,
that we oft-avoid,
that we try to hide.

The meaning of
death, dwell on–
How is it fair for a
being to be gone.
Poof! They vanish,
leaving memories,
earthly things, and
unearthly stories.

If we know life,
we know death..
The first heartbeat,
the last breath..
They belong together,
are closely joined;
we can’t just collect
one side of the coin.
